![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The rest of the hardware should be fine if you dont skimp on the CPU part. If you can afford a temporary build, maybe a 1060? Its a good card to hold you over until you know what XP12 will demand. I would invest in a good power supply now, because if you go to a 3070+ you will find them being quite power hungry. For the pricepoint, take a look at the ryzen 5xxx lineup. XP12 will be built on 11, but a lot more demanding surely. Or at least a solid indication on some sort of timeline, expectation for it. XP12 is likely to be announced this month if we are lucky. The 3800xt is more than beefy enough for this, but if you have that decent budget.I would be more analytical. I figure the CPU, GPU, and RAM are the most important components to spend money on-so I am planning to splurge on those and cut back elsewhere. Am currently looking at the GeForce RTX 20 line, but those are quite pricey. ![]() I figure that is enough processing power for anything I'm going to throw at the PC, but I know very little about video cards/GPUs. I've been playing FSX on a 4 year old laptop-which has been a great way to get into flight simming on a budget-but this old laptop doesn't mean the minimum XP11 requirements and doesn't stand a chance with XP11.įor those on this sub running XP11 with quality aircraft addons + quality airport scenery at high resolutions, what graphics cards have you had the most success with? I'm willing to splurge a bit on the system, but not trying to break the bank ($1500 USD max budget).ĬPU I've tentatively settled on is a Ryzen 7 3800XT (8 core) 3.9ghz. I'm finally taking the plunge and switching from FSX Steam to XP11, which means it's time for a new PC. ![]()
